Hey Everybody, there are just 53 days until Avalon Beach Church begins our 9th Season! We will start on June 19th at 9am on the 30th Street beach in Avalon.
This year’s theme is: “Lord, Teach Us to Pray”
We will be studying the Lord’s Prayer…but it will be so much more. Here’s our premise…when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, they did not just want a prayer to memorize, they wanted what Jesus had!
They watched him pray and he an intimacy with the Father that they longed for… “Give us what you have!” And the greatest news of all is that Jesus wants us to have it. In fact, he prayed for us to have it in John 17…Look at these two powerful scriptures:
Luke 11:1
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.
John 17:21
Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
