You might need a sweater or a sweatshirt, but I can guarantee that your heart will be warmed by the love of Jesus. I simply can’t wait to worship together in the most beautiful sanctuary possible. I’m getting ready to preach each week on the Gospel of John.
Here’s a Teaser Truth from John One
Jesus came to earth with two beautiful gifts: GRACE and TRUTH.
The world often joins together something completely different: Truth or Consequences. Do you remember that old TV show? It starred Bob Barker before he became “The Price Is Right” legend.
On the show, contestants received roughly two seconds to answer a trivia question correctly before “Beulah the Buzzer” sounded. If the contestant could not complete the “Truth” portion, there would be “Consequences,” usually a zany and embarrassing stunt.
Our life can be full of tough questions and embarrassing stunts. We typically face a barrage of consequences.
But according to John 1, Jesus came with TRUTH and GRACE. Botton line: He knows everything about you and your life, nothing is hidden from Him. And He still offers GRACE over and over and over again.
Remember these words from a hymn written by Annie Johnson Flint called “He Giveth More Grace?”:
“His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power has no boundary known unto man.
For out of HIs infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth and giveth and giveth again.”
