All summer long we 
are studying the Gospel of John. This is our 3rd week, so we are in the 3rd chapter. It has some amazing things to say about our Heavenly Father, and I just can’t wait to share them with you.
Maybe the best part of ABC for me is knowing that I share this ministry with my earthly father. He not only prays for us before each service, but he also closes the service with benediction.
My dad just turned 86 two weeks ago. A few days ago, my parents found out that a former parishioner has been diagnosed with a life threatening disease. My parents led this man to Jesus over 40 years ago, and they had to be with him face to face. I was out of town, so they drove themselves an hour and a half to his home. It’s the farthest they’ve driven for well over a year. They needed to be face to face, tell him they loved him and offer the power of prayer.
This picture was sent to me, I cropped out the face of this precious man because I’m not sure how public this news is. But I wanted you to see my family’s legacy. This is who we want to be…this is in our DNA.
This Father’s Day, I am so thankful for the example set before me. I love doing ministry with my father. When I was in my 20’s I wrote this fun song for my dad, it still rings true regarding how I feel about him:
