“Simplicity is the key to the fulfillment of the Great Commission in this generation. If the process is complex, it will break down early in the transference to the next generation of disciples. The more complex the process, the greater the giftedness needed to keep it going. The simpler the process, the more available it is to the broader Christian population.”

AVALON BEACH CHURCH STARTS JUNE 22ND AT 9AM – 30TH ST. AND THE BEACH – AVALON, NJ
I’ve had 30 years of church ministry experience, but the best is yet to come!
I pastored the oldest church west of the Allegheny Mountains, led a two point charge in the United Methodist Church, traveled around the world as an evangelist, planted a non-denominational church for young adults that helped 10 other churches get planted, led pastorally a mega para-church ministry, and now lead a network of 40+ missionaries and church planters called The Malachi Network (www.malachinetwork.org).
I’ve never been more excited about ministry than I am right now!
On June 22nd, 2014, we will launch AVALON BEACH CHURCH at 30th St. and the beach in Avalon, NJ. Worship will begin at 9am and will continue each Sunday morning through Labor Day weekend. Our mission is as simple as A B C:
Advance the Gospel
Believe for changed lives
Create simple churches
We will advance the Gospel through worship and preaching from the Bible. We will believe for changed lives through prayer ministry, holy communion and baptism. And we will create simple churches through connecting with potential simple church leaders and providing ongoing relationship and resources.
There are two things that make this summer outreach ministry a dream come true…
One. . . We are DOING CHURCH AT THE BEACH!!!!
Two. . .Three generations in the Stevenson family will be leading! My oldest son, Zach, and his wife Meghan will be leading worship, and my father, Harry Stevenson, will be overseeing discipleship. I am so thankful for a family who loves and serves our Lord Jesus Christ.
While you are “down the shore” this summer, why not get some WAWA coffee, grab a Kohler’s cream donut, and meet us at 30th St. and the Avalon beach on Sundays at 9am. Bring your lawn chair and a friend.
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad;
let the distant shores rejoice. Ps. 97:1
